CDHU beviljas forskningsmedel i Vetenskapsrådets utlysning: nationell samordning för forskarskolor inom humaniora och samhällsvetenskap. Fokus för den nationella forskarskolan i DH, DASH (DigitAl HumanitieS Graduate School), är att utrusta doktorander med de kunskaper och färdigheter som är nödvändiga för högkvalitativ, innovativ och kritisk forskning i gränslandet mellan data, kultur och samhälle.

PhD/Researcher course Fall 22: Python for Beginners

The course is a five-day, intensive crash course targeted towards both faculty employees and PhD students in the humanities and social sciences who are interested in gaining a basic understanding of programming and some practical knowledge on how to use the Python language. During the course you will also learn how to install and work with JupyterLab which is a modern interactive development environment for “literate coding” where you can seamlessly combine written research notes with code, and data.

PhD course: Reconstructing/Deconstructing Cultural Heritage in the Digital Age

The Centre for Digital Humanities Uppsala (CDHU) will be running a PhD/Researcher level course called ‘Introduction to Cultural Analytics’ in fall 2022. The focus is on the development of computational and technical skills (e.g. computational text analysis, web scraping, and machine learning concepts), targeting PhD students and scholars in the humanities and social sciences looking to develop such skills. The course will be conducted in English.

Digital Humanities Longview Seminar – 2022 Programme Announced

The CDHU is very pleased to announce the programme for the upcoming 2022 Digital Humanities Longview (virtual) seminar series, co-hosted with Stanford University’s Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis (CESTA) and the UCL Centre for Digital Humanities. All seminars will be held on Zoom, in English and at 18.00–19.30 hrs to accommodate time zone differences between Sweden and California.

Pilot Projects given support 2021
